Team Isuzu Motorsports Bruce Garland & Harry Suzuki have finished the Asian Cross Country Rally in 2nd place as the lead-up to the 2011 Dakar Rally continues. The Rally kicked off in Pattaya on August 7th and finished up at Phrae on Wednesday August 11th, after covering over 2010km of jungles, swamps and river crossings. The Isuzu D-MAX finished first in the Prologue prior to the start of the event & despite dropping back as far as eighth the crew still managed to claw their way back into second even after becoming sub-merged in a lake on Day 2 of the Rally. After a week of bad luck & a shortened final day has left five-time Australasian Safari winner's Bruce Garland & Harry Suzuki wondering what might have been after finishing 3rd outright in the 2010 event. Garland, navigator Harry Suzuki and their Xtreme Sponsored Isuzu D-MAX finished Day Seven of the 3600km trek through outback Western Australia behind V8 Supercar driver Craig Lowndes and Kees Weel (V8 Holden Colorado) in first place and Darren Green & Wayne Smith (Nissan Patrol) in second.

Xtreme had Clutch Kit's on display to suit most popular 4WD applications including Nissan Navara, Toyota Land cruiser, Toyota Hilux & Nissan Patrol.

Xtreme-Sponsored Harry Suzuki & Bruce Garland's Isuzu D-MAX had an unexpected premature finish to the world renowned Dakar Rally with a minor setback at the end of week one putting them to the back of the field for the remainder of the Rally.

Bruce Garland & Harry Suzuki finished second on the Saturday, in the first run down the 226km track between Alice Springs & the tiny Aboriginal settlement of Finke, but Sunday was a rougher, slower run to the finish line.. "We had a puncture today. There was debris from broken buggies all over the track & we snagged the tyre on a piece of metal which lost us a bit of time, and probably cost us the outright second position." said Bruce.

Xtreme-Sponsored Jason Wotherspoon has recently finished 9th out of a 52 car field in the Annual Ironman Cliffhanger Challenge which was held in Broken Hill, NSW. Unfortunately the Nissan Patrol suffered some minor issues over the weekend including a smashed windscreen, light's, broken CV's & some minor chassis damage
