Xtreme Outback Expand Jeep Clutch Upgrade Range

The Xtreme Outback range by Australian Clutch Services is designed and engineered to provide heavy duty clutch solutions for 4x4 owners around the world. With over 30 years of experience in the industry and a fully equipped research and development facility, the Xtreme Outback range offers heavy duty solutions designed to provide increased clamping force and overall torque capacity whilst also providing excellent driveability and low pedal effort. Xtreme Outback have now introduced a new range of upgrades to suit Jeep Wrangler 3.6L models including both sprung organic and cushioned ceramic kits.

The new upgrades have been introduced for the Australian market as well as in support of Australian Clutch Services’ American performance brand, XClutch. “Our new range of upgrades for the Jeep Wrangler are ideal for those who have modified their vehicle for increased power and torque or who have increased the mass of their vehicle with the addition of aftermarket accessories,” explains Stewart Furze, Australian Clutch Services Mechanical Engineer. “The new upgrades complement our already extensive range of upgrades for various Jeep models including our hydraulics and accessories. The kits are also ideal for our US performance division and were recently exhibited at the Bantam Jeep Festival in Pennsylvania.”

The new kits are available with everything required for the installation including a replacement release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool. Xtreme Outback is also offering kits with a replacement single-mass flywheel if required. The upgraded pressure plate in all kits offers a 20% increase in clamping force giving the sprung organic kit a 450 Nm torque capacity whilst the cushioned ceramic upgrade brings this up to 690 Nm with both torque capacities including a large factor of safety. “The organic upgrade is designed for those looking for an almost OEM level of driveability whilst also gaining the large increase in torque capacity,” explains Stewart. “The organic kits are our most popular options for all 4x4 applications and are suitable for daily driven street vehicles, off-road and towing. The ceramic upgrade is designed for those who have made significant modifications to their car and require that exceptionally high torque capacity and improved heat capacity.”
